Audio Dialogue

Here’s the audio dialogue recording that we were told to record.

The Script

M (frustrated): You’re finally home! Where have you been!
D (nonchalantly): I was out drinking with my colleagues lah. Why?
M (angry): Drinking?! So rich ah? Coming home late also don’t know how to call home first?
D (annoyed): Aiyah, I wasn’t doing anything bad. Need to call for what?
M (angry): You could have at least called to tell me you’re not coming home for dinner right? Then we don’t need to waste the food right?
D (nonchalantly): Aiyah, just wrap it up and put into the fridge lah! Tomorrow who want to eat then just eat. What’s the big deal?
M (angry): I don’t usually have the time to cook nowadays. Today I finally got down to cooking and this is how you answer me? If you’re in my shoes won’t you feel angry?
D (nonchalantly): Aiyah, ok lah ok lah. Sorry ok? I’m very tired. I still have to wake up early for work tomorrow.
M (angry): Running ah? Just say sorry then can run away?
D (resigned): Ok, sorry. We talk tomorrow ok? I still need to wake up at 4.30 to make coffee and wake you up at 4.45.

Ok. The above script is the original one. The recorded one has some slight differences (especially noticeable is the use of more Singlish).

You can listen to it here.
